Kate Stuckman has been playing oboe since her sixth grade year at Cedar Park Middle School in 2002. She was a member of the Cedar Park High School marching band and concert band, where she played oboe, English horn, piano, and percussion. She has qualified for district, region, and all-area band on oboe and all-region orchestra on English horn. She has a wide range of solo and concert experience on oboe, English horn, and piano. Kate graduated as salutatorian from Cedar Park High School in 2009.

Kate is now an electrical engineering major at Texas A&M University in the class of 2013. She plays oboe and English horn in the Texas A&M Wind Symphony and is first-chair oboe for the Texas A&M Orchestra. Kate plans to attend graduate school and pursue studies in robotics. She hopes to stay engaged in music throughout her life.

Kate’s private lessons had a large impact on her music studies. She took private lessons throughout middle school and high school and found they motivated her to become a better musician and helped her realize her love for music. It was her private lesson teacher that convinced her to continue pursuing music in college along side her engineering studies. Kate hopes she can make a similar impression on her students.
